Below is a notice from Murielle at Hippodrome de Trois-Rivieres regarding the cancellation of the Prix d'Ete:
The Québec Jockey Club has decided to cancel the Prix d’Été this year.
The decision was made after the Quebec government’s decision to forbid all events hosting more than 250 people until at least august 31st 2020.
For now our QC stake races are not canceled since all horses usually are from Québec. No traveling involved.
We are working on options to save our industry and one is to have the races with no spectators on site. Letters will be sent to the government today.
I’ll keep you posted.
